What is blended learning?

It’s the best of both worlds: a flexible mix of online learning, plus face-to-face teaching in one of our UK study centres.

Blended study is ideal if you want an element of traditional face-to face teaching, but need the flexibility of learning online wherever and whenever suits you and your schedule.

With just 8 hours of classes a week, you will have the opportunity to select your study preference when you apply. Tell us whether you’d like to study during the week, at weekends or in the evenings in your application, and one of our course advisors will get in touch to discuss your options.

When you're at the study centre you can interact with your peers and tutors. Then use your 24-hour virtual classroom to progress your learning whenever and wherever you can. If you have a burning question you don’t need to wait until you are in class – you will still have access to your tutors and support team by email and phone.

This new way of learning works around you. You can work, have caring responsibilities or let your social life flourish, without missing out on Higher Education.

On-campus FAQs

What is blended learning?

This new way of learning and studying provides the best of face-to-face and online learning. You attend regular classroom sessions on campus with other students and the rest of the time you access materials and resources such as tutorials, lessons and exercises online, working at your own pace. You upload coursework and assignments to a secure online zone with easy access to a tutor via Skype, email, webchat or phone. Our blended learning model enables you to complete a full three-year degree, with just 2 days face to face commitment per week in one of our London study centres.

Do I need a computer?

You’ll need a connected device to access and download learning materials. Ideally this will be a computer, but you can also access ilearn through many different devices such as mobile phones, tablets and laptops, or your local library may have resources you can use. Additionally if you choose to study at one of our London study centres you will have access to their computer rooms. Go to our Study Centre page for more information.

I work full time and have a family. Can I still study?

Online learning is all about flexibility. We believe everybody should have access to higher education, no matter what his or her circumstance. You can study from as little as eight hours per week depending on your course and you can study at your own pace. With so many ways to access your learning resources, be it by laptop, phone or tablet, you can fit study around your life.
