Studying never gets in the way of my day-to-day commitments which is why I chose Arden University as opposed to a traditional campus education.

I chose to study with Arden University because as a dad to four children, my everyday life is very hectic! Studying a degree is something made possible with Arden University, the convenience and flexibility to be able to study at home alongside face to face time with lecturers made studying a degree qualification possible. I only have to be in class for 8 hours a week and the structured timetable allows me to plan my week – perfect when you’re juggling family life with study!

I can now fulfil my dream of studying for a degree and not miss out on watching my children grow up. I take them to school in the mornings and then I come home and do the work that needs doing for the university. In the evenings, I can then pick up my kids from school and help them with their homework or spend quality time with them without having to rely on others for childcare. Studying never gets in the way of my day-to-day commitments which is why I chose Arden University as opposed to a traditional campus education.

The application form was very straight forward and the friendly admissions team kept me up to date every step of the way, so I was never left wondering what was going on. Once I was accepted onto the course, I was invited to an induction day which exceeded my expectations and needs. There I learnt a lot about my courses and the individual modules I would be studying. It was also a great opportunity to meet my tutors and the student support team.

The study centre in Manchester is very accessible as it is based in the city centre with excellent transport links. The study centre environment provides everything I need for the short time I am in and the staff have been extremely supportive and have made it clear that I can always ask for help if I need to.

I am looking forward to putting in the hard work and eventually graduating in four years’ time! It’ll be great to be in a position to give my wife and children the finer things in life.

I would definitely recommend studying a blended course with Arden University as it gives you a chance to better yourself without impacting on your valuable time with family.

I was a little bit nervous as a mature student to be going back into education as it had been a while since I last studied. However, it was worth taking the plunge as I know it will improve mine and my family’s lives for the better. To any mature student who is thinking of taking studying a course with Arden University, I would just advise setting aside a couple of hours every day for your studies. If you do this, it makes studying a lot more manageable. Putting the hard work in will pay off!
